Mr. R enjoys working with numbers and since he's picked up addition and subtraction without any major difficulties, I decided to introduce basic multiplication and division.
Cashews were our math manipulatives.
We shared them out with our friends who were sitting on their picnic rug.
"What's the symbol for sharing? Its also called divided"
Bring them all back together again and we have divisions opposite multiplication :)
