We've completed our second week of the Village Learning project, it seems to be going well so far. R is enjoying it and the children in the village also seem to be very eager to learn.
My focus at the moment is mainly on developing and expanding their English vocabulary. We sing songs, read books and go for 'talking walks'. We've also started introducing a few letters and letter sounds. I'm planning to use the Dr. Best 'Learn to Read' program once the children are ready. It supports English learning as well as Vedic culture, so the children in the village will be able to relate to the stories.
